“Hi, I'm Stacey Paige. Welcome to the Five Minute Fix podcast, weekly meditations to soothe, heal, and inspire.

This week's meditation is about embracing the magic of the unknown. The day after I graduated college, I moved to New York for a job in the hospitality industry. Within a few years, by outward appearances, I was super successful.

I was a high-level executive, making a ton of money. Not only was I one of the only females in my industry to be at that level, but I was among the youngest of everyone. And I was working 100-plus hours a week.

I was overweight, unhealthy. My relationships were dysfunctional. I was completely stressed out all the time.

But I stayed in it. It became what I knew. And sometimes safety and security and routine, no matter how unfulfilling, is more appealing than venturing into unknown pastures.

I continued to barrel down the track that I was on. And just like is always the case when we stay in something too long that doesn't serve our highest and best, something big happened to force me into a change. In my case, I got really sick.

What began as a struggle for survival ultimately became one of the biggest turning points and one of the biggest blessings in my life, where I began exploring and pursuing what lit me up. I let my heart guide me instead of fear. That's really where I learned the magic of the unknown, being in spiritual freefall, I call it.

And I realized that when I let my heart lead and I stay committed to myself and my spiritual work, the universe has for me things that are far better than I could have possibly conceived. And despite all this, there are still times I want to fight to stay in my comfort zone and fight to control what's happening. But I know better.

I know the true fulfillment of my dreams. Feeling purposeful and excited means I have to surrender and embrace the magic of the unknown. I invite you to join me in this week's meditation.”

“Come into a comfortable, seated position and close your eyes. Take a deep breath in. Deep breath in.

As you exhale, release any tension from your body.

Deep breath in. Exhale tension from your face and your jaw.

Exhale completely, surrendering to a state of deep relaxation.

Feel a gentle breeze on your skin.

You are connected to the source of all creation, all that has been, all that is, and all that will be.

Embrace the magic of the unknown. Feel a sense of hope and possibility spread through your body.

Release the shackles of needing to know. Open to something greater than you can imagine. Being made manifest, especially for you, right now.

Trusting that everything is unfolding exactly as it should, even if you can't see the path ahead.

Ask for a moment in the energy of possibility.

Staying open to the magic of the unknown, moving and guiding you. Bring yourself back to the present moment.

When you're ready, open your eyes.

Namaste.”
