The Power of a Deep Inner Clean, and Why You Need It 💖

So you may remember that deep cleaning spree I embarked on last week - the one where instead of going veraciously at it, I got derailed by that magazine article  about the Maharishi Effect ?


Well, that was followed by a few more trips down memory lane, each filled with a mix of emotions. Some happy and celebratory, some sad and tinged with remorse, and others a mixed bag —like finding a ticket stub from the 2004 The Lord of the Rings exhibition at the Museum of Science in Boston. I’d gone to that show with my dad and nephew, both of whom have since passed away.


I allowed myself to indulge for a bit, in laughter and in tears. Eventually I felt a shift inside, and I knew I was ready to move forward.



As I vacuumed, dusted and mopped.. tossed away and donated.. I saw that my trips down memory lane had been the vehicle for a much needed inner cleanse.


Just like your home, our inner worlds collect dust, grime and debris. We all carry around mental “junk drawers” filled with old stories about who we are, fears we’ve outgrown, and unresolved emotions that quietly pile up, making it harder and harder to feel truly at ease.


If you’ve been feeling a little off, a little stuck, or just not as light as you’d like, it might be time for an inner world deep clean.


Think of it as a spiritual decluttering session. Instead of sorting through old clothes or that junk drawer in your kitchen, you’re sifting through the mental and emotional stuff that’s been lingering. You’re taking stock of the beliefs, habits, and energy patterns you’ve been holding onto, and asking yourself: Is this still serving me? Or has it overstayed its welcome (kind of like those jeans from high school!)


An inner deep clean is all about identifying the outdated, negative, or stagnant things you’re carrying, and letting them go to make space for something new, something more aligned with the life you actually want to live.


Unprocessed emotions, old hurts, and unresolved experiences can sit in our energy field like mental cobwebs, keeping us from feeling free and clear.


Then there are those sneaky little beliefs that hold us back without us even realizing it. “I’m not good enough,” or “I don’t deserve happiness,” or “I’ll never be successful.” These ideas that become so ingrained, we start to accept them as facts, when really, they’re just stories we’ve picked up along the way.


When our inner world is cluttered, it’s hard to hear our own intuition. The little voice that knows what we really want, what lights us up, and what feels authentic an true, gets drowned out by the noise of mental chatter and emotional baggage.


The state of our inner world is reflected in our outer world. When we’re cluttered and stuck internally, life feels chaotic and hard. We're not able to manifest what we want. But when we clear the clutter inside, life outside starts to flow. Opportunities show up. Relationships deepen. Life just feels... easier.
